After some time out of the spotlight, J-Lo is back in a big way. She has both a new album and a new romantic comedy co-starring Alex O’Loughlin coming out later this year. Clearly the Bronx native is not letting motherhood or the dreaded 4-0 slow her down. “This is what I do,” Lopez told Elle. “What, because I have kids and a husband now I’m not supposed to be me? Being an artist doesn’t start because you’re 21, and it doesn’t end because you’re 51. You are who you are until the day you die.” In her new rom-com, Lopez plays a woman who gets In Vitro fertilization. Is that something the mother of two has considered in real life? Doesn’t sound like it. “I guess deep down, I really felt like either this is not going to happen for me or it is,” said Lopez, who has 22-month-old twin babies with husband Marc Anthony. “You know what I mean? And if it is, it will. And if it’s not, it’s not going to.”
