Rapper Lil Wayne is no stranger to legal issues. In the past he’s been arrested on drug charges and he’s about to start serving one year sentence at Rikers Island for gun possession, but not before he gets sued for copyright infringement. Record producer Darius Harrison and music publishing company The Royalty Network filed a claim against Lil Wayne for $2.5 million over his 2008 hit song “Mrs. Officer.” The two argue that they own the rights to the composition of the record, as well as any profits from ring tones, music videos or streaming media. If these allegations are true, then Weezy could have some financial issues. Let’s not forget the rapper already has four children by singer Nivea, actress Lauren London, TV reality star Toya Carter, and one mother whose identity is still undisclosed. Between the lawsuits and the children and that dental work that delayed his prison sentence last week, how will Mr. Carter still have “Money To Blow?”
