Maybe that infamous American Music Awards performance was a sign of things to come. J-Lo fell on her famous behind while performing her single “Louboutins,” and now it seems like the whole project has been dropped. Ms. Lopez has reportedly parted ways from her label, Sony Music’s Epic Records. Neither side has made an official comment on the split but word on the street is the singer fulfilled her contract after releasing her two latest singles and the label isn’t really too interested in releasing her new album, Love. After “Louboutins” only hit #31 on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart, we’re not surprised. That’s a long way away from the success she had with hits like “Waiting for Tonight.” J-Lo’s already shopping her album around and is rumored to be in talks with Island Def Jam head L.A. Reid, but for now she joins the ranks of unsigned artists around the country. It gives new meaning to her song “If You Had My Love,” doesn’t it?
